Step 4: Important Evaluation Rules

Modified on Wed, 12 Jun at 12:03 PM

Familiarize yourself with important evaluation rules and information.

  • The PERFORM account is where the evaluation takes place. The TRAIN account is solely for practice. Results in the TRAIN account do not count toward your profit target or loss limits.

  • The daily loss limit, maximum total drawdown, and profit target for the qualification level will vary depending on your chosen program. Please ensure that you are aware of each of these. TradeFundrr applies strict risk management during the evaluation process.

  • In addition to realized losses, TradeFundrr includes unrealized losses when calculating risk limits. Open and active positions will count toward your daily loss limit and maximum total drawdown, even if the trades are not closed.

  • Your dashboard will only show closed trades. Positions that are open and active will not be reflected on the dashboard. The daily loss limit and maximum total drawdown are applied throughout the session, not only at the end of the day. If at any point, your daily loss or total drawdown exceeds the specified limit, the evaluation will result in a failure.

  • Only stocks on the easy-to-borrow list are available to short. Paying to locate hard-to-borrow stocks is not permitted in the evaluation.

  • No position can exceed 3% of the average daily volume of an instrument traded on a trailing 30-day basis. This may impact low-price, low-volume names that see a sudden surge in interest, such as penny stocks.

  • We recommend not engaging in partial lot trading in the stock evaluations. Only orders of 100 share increments are allowed in the live proprietary environment, so refraining from doing so in the evaluation will more closely align your experience with that of what can be expected in the live environment.

  • There are no time limit restrictions for holding stock positions. Scalping is permitted as is swinging positions overnight or for days or weeks. Please be aware, however, that for purposes of the consistency rule, the dashboard only recognizes a session as a trading day when a position is closed.
